The Berghaus is located in the mountains of beautiful Snoqualmie Pass at the Summit East ski area at Hyak, less than an hour's drive from Seattle. It is accessible by car throughout the summer, and by skis via a nearby chairlift or trail in winter.

Directions from Seattle

  • Take I-90 Eastbound past Snoqualmie Pass.
  • Take the Hyak Exit (Exit 54).
  • At the stop sign turn right and go straight through the next intersection. You will be entering the Hyak Estates/Parking Lot area.
  • At the stop sign take a right onto Snoqualmie Dr.
  • At the V in the road take a right. Stay on this road as it winds its way up the hill.
  • At the next major V in the road stay to the right (Innsbruck Dr) and go up the steep hill.
  • During Summer: At the top of the steep hill you'll see Forest Service Road #110. Take a right onto this dirt road and shortly you will see the Continental Club sign. Follow the road to the left of the sign and you're at the Berghaus.
  • During Winter: After cresting the hill look for a sign on the right side of the road that indicates the trail leading up to the Berghaus. Members and guests of the Continental Club may unload their belongings at the trailhead but absolutely must park their vehicles overnight in the Hyak Parking Lot at the bottom of the hill.

IMPORTANT!!! There is no parking on the road below the Berghaus in the winter. Do not leave your vehicle unattended, if you do, your vehicle will be towed to Cle Elum! Turning around or parking in the neighbors' driveways is also prohibited. If you need to unload belongings, do so quickly in front of the Berghaus path and park your vehicle in the Hyak Parking Lot at the bottom of the hill.
