Kathy, the Continental Club's Berg Haus Caretaker, spends much of her free time at Snoqualmie Pass... so we thought it would be fun if she had her own corner of the web site to post comments about the weather conditions at Hyak, the weekend activities, and whatever else we may find interesting about life up at the Berg Haus.

No more SNOW. The forest service road is completely clear! The snow melted more quickly than I thought.

The sun has been shining and we can walk snow free up to the Berg. Plenty of hiking to be had!!!

snow bridge
Hello Members,
I want to caution everyone on the snow bridge. I have dug much of it out to be safer, however, it is melting daily and changes. So, I just want to warn you to be careful, especially if you do not have snow shoes. I've carved out the wood slats, so I would walk just on those.

Still lots of snow
Temperatures have been up and down this week, we've lost only a little snow though since we received 5 inches Tuesday.
Last weekend the forecast was for rain, and Charlie will tell you we enjoyed rain free lounging on the new sofa he constructed outside with adult beverages Don't always listen to the weather predictions. Mornings have been picture!sque!

more snow....
We've had about 5 inches of new snow this week, and colder temps.
With a little sunshine this weekend, a champagne brunch slope side would be a perfect way to end the season at Hyak!

Plenty of snow
I'm back! I have had technical difficulties, but, Joe has rescued me again so I can post news. Since everyone left on Sunday night we had 4 more inches last night with the same expected during the day today, and continuing the rest of the week.....it adds up, and temps are suppose to remain low :)

Finally an Update
From the Ice Cave: Wow this reminds me of last year. Remember when we had 10 feet of snow fall? I think we had almost that in December! It looks to be a warmer than normal week up here....wet,drippy and rainy 
By the weekend I'm hopeful the cooler temperatures will pervail!
