Membership & Fee Schedule

I. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
Weekend use (Friday - Sunday) of the Berghaus ANY TIME OF THE YEAR

	· Family Member, with dependants through 24 years old	$1050
	· Adult Member, 18 years and older	$575
	· Adult Student Member, 18 - 24 years old, with parent Full Membership	$200
	· Youth Member 13 - 17 years old, with parent Full Membership	$150
	· Child Member through 12 years old, with parent Full Membership	Free
	· Social Membership, unlimited day use of facility (overnight fees apply)	$325
	· Supportive Member, intermittent day use of facility (overnight fees apply) - exempt from assessment fee	$200

II. OVERNIGHT FEES FOR GUESTS OF MEMBERS

	· Family (limit of 4 persons)	$50
	· Adult, 18 years and older	$20
	· Guest of family membership through 24 years of age Limited to one guest per student member, standard overnight adult rates apply for additional guests regardless of age	$10

III. MEMBER FACILITY GROUP USE

· Day use of facility, standard overnight rates apply.

IV. NEW MEMBERS

Members are encouraged to bring friends to the Berghaus and invite them to become members. Each prospective member will be asked to stay overnight and pay a New Member Application Fee (non-refundable) of $50.00 (family or individual) prior to admission into our club. Members of the membership committee will meet with them during their stay and decide upon their application after this interview. If accepted, the $50.00 fee will be applied towards their first year membership fees.

V. CREDITS AND ASSESSMENTS

Credit incentives are earned by recruiting new memberships, and are applied to the following year's dues:

· Recruiting a new family membership earns a $50.00 credit for the sponsor.

· Recruiting a new adult membership earns a $25.00 credit for the sponsor.

An assessment fee will be charged to each membership that does not attend one full (6 hour) work party in the preceding year. The fee will be $400 per family membership and $200 per adult membership. The club has approved this fee in order to encourage participation from all its members, as well as set aside sufficient funds to pay for labor if members do not participate.

NOTE: Supportive Membership is excluded from this assessment.

VI. GENERAL
The membership year is September 1st through August 30th. For new members joining midseason the first year membership will be paid for a full year, and the second will be pro-rated to September 1st.
