Winter Access
The Berghaus is located in the mountains of beautiful Snoqualmie Pass at the Summit East ski area at Hyak, less than an hour's drive from Seattle.
During the Winter, the Berghaus is accessible by footpath from Innsbruck Dr., and by skis via nearby East Peak chairlift. Parking is only permitted in the Summit East Lower Parking Lot.
Initial Approach
Take I-90 Eastbound past Snoqualmie Pass.
Take the Hyak Exit (Exit 54).
At the stop sign turn RIGHT and go STRAIGHT through the next intersection. You will be entering the Hyak Estates/Parking Lot area.
At the stop sign take a RIGHT onto Snoqualmie Dr.
At the V in the road take a RIGHT. Stay on this road as it winds its way up the hill.
At the second V in the road, stay to the uphill side (LEFT) (Cascade Place veers off to the right, do not take it.)
Follow the road uphill around a switchback.
At the next major V in the road stay to the uphill side (RIGHT) (Innsbruck Dr.) and go up the steep hill.
As you drive up Innsbruck, you’ll pass 5 or 6 houses on the upslope side, go over the top of the hill, you will pass a few houses before you arrive at the Berghaus Drop-off (on the RIGHT): 261 Innsbruck Dr, Snoqualmie Pass, WA 98068. Look for the “Berghaus Drop-off Only” sign.
Park close to any other vehicles to keep spots open for others
Drop-Off Area and Trail
Important! There is no parking at the Drop-off Area (except for our caretaker). You may TEMPORARILY leave your car to help with kids or bags, but after a brief trip up the trail, please return immediately to move your car down to the Hyak Parking Lot. Be mindful to NOT take Caretaker’s spot (far left, slope side).
Pull car all the way forward to allow for additional 5th spot behind the cars if needed.
Park as close to other cars as possible.
There is no parking on the road sides below the Berghaus in the winter. Do not leave your vehicle unattended, if you do, your vehicle will be towed to Cle Elum! If you need to unload belongings, do so quickly and park your vehicle in the Summit East Lower Parking Lot at the bottom of the hill.
Turning around or parking in the neighbors' driveways is also prohibited.
Members and guests must use the main lodge basement entrance. Do not enter the caretaker’s door in the bunkhouse.
Please keep to the trail and remind everyone in your group and any guests not to walk or play on our neighbors’ property.

Parking
Parking is only permitted in the Summit East Lower Parking Lot at the bottom of the hill. Overnight parking requires a pass displayed in the windshield, and that the vehicle be located in the spots adjacent to the Berm. See map below.
